Jamie Thom began his career
as a mechanical engineer in the motor vehicle industry
before photography and wildlife lured him into a job as
a game ranger at the world famous Mala Mala Game Reserve.
Ten years of photography culminated in him winning the
coveted BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year title in
1999 and the Eric Hosking Award in the same competition
for 2 years running. This year he has turned his efforts
to wildlife documentaries and joined the Panthera Productions
team as a cameraman.
